Croatian Virtual Get2Gether - A sea of opportunities

In the Labyrinth of Beauty

Have you had the chance to sail the Croatian coast or are you already a regular visitor who comes back every year? There is no question that Croatia is one of the leaders in international nautical tourism, however what aspect of the diverse nautical offer will suit your tastes is up to you. The Croatian coast is so popular because, apart from natural wonders it offers diverse entertainment which aims to please each and every guest. It is no wonder that Croatia has been the most popular destination for renting sailboats for some time now, and at the same time it has become quite popular for all other types of vessels for leisure, such as family boats, motorboats and yachts, catamarans, inflatable boats and even sea kayaks. We sincerely wish for you to discover the Croatian nautical offer and choose the part that speaks the most to you.

The first and most obvious reason to come to Croatia is for its natural beauty. Croatia has precisely 1244 islands, islets and rocks, but what makes them special is not their number, but the fact that they shape numerous small and large coves, beaches, caves and cliffs, and these places of unspoiled beauty are interwoven with charming coastal towns. This unique archipelago spanning less than 250 nautical miles has a mild Mediterranean climate which makes sailing fun and enjoyable.

Five Croatian national parks are located on the coast, three of which are typical marine parks (Brijuni, Kornati and Mljet), one is mountainous (Paklenica), and one marine-fluvial (Krka). To experience their beauty one need only point their sails in the right direction.

Traces of inhabitation at the Croatian coast go back as far as the Neolithic period, and the coastline has been continuously inhabited from then through Antiquity and the Middle Ages, up until today. You can find remnants from all periods of western civilisation in Croatia, and many of these well-preserved cultural monuments can be visited from the sea. In this way you will understand the current way of life at the Croatian coast which is intertwined with tradition and a modern lifestyle where sailing plays a vital role. Seamanship in Croatia is as old as life in these parts, and it is best reflected today in nautical tourism. The modern sailor can enjoy numerous activities offered on the Croatian coast, as well as visit the many UNESCO World Heritage Sites and cultural monuments. However, this type of historical-cultural heritage cannot be visited in a bathing suit. :)

After sunset, the night life comes alive. From romantic moments under the stars, local summer events typical of coastal towns and festivals of classical and modern music, enjoyed equally by all generations, Croatia is undoubtedly the ideal place for having a good time, and when you are aboard a ship, you can pick a different location every day.

We have listed here only the most important aspects of the modern nautical lifestyle in Croatia. What is especially easy to do in Croatia, and what makes this country unique, is the possibility to pick how you want to spend your seaside vacation on the spot. The choice is almost infinite, and you only need to cross a few nautical miles to reach a lively town from a hidden cove. Different forms of entertainment are always available, with high quality being the common denominator, reflected in the quality of your stay in Croatia.
